The big queen size blanket is separated into two zones and comes standard with two easy to read, easy to turn. Every individual has controllers to adjust their respective sides’ temperatures. There is a big back-lit display that helps you adjust the temperatures in case you need to in the middle of the night; for this reason the turning on of lights will not be necessary.

You can preset the desired temperatures and when you turn on the controls the temperatures will rise and when the desired levels are reached the hold mode is maintained for the rest of the night. If the power is not turned off after 10 hours it switches itself off. This is for safety and the saving of power purposes.

This blanket appears to be very well made. The cloth material is soft, and the heating wires thin and unobtrusive. We’ve been using it for about a month and have enjoyed its gentle, uniform heat.

The control box is convenient and well-enough lighted to see at night. My only (minor) complaint is that I would have liked a more intense heat setting to warm me and the bed quickly when I first get in. Even the high setting is a bit subtle–but great for all-night gentle warming.

Bought this blanket after a Sunbeam gave out after only a few years. This one is very soft, and it’s true that you can hardly detect the wires. The king has dual controls, which my husband and I both love.

I was apprehensive about the level of heat it would put out after reading many reviews all over the internet about how modern electric blankets (now called “heating blankets”) don;t put out as much heat as their vintage counterparts.

No need to worry about that. I used to keep the Sunbeam on high, even when it was young and working “properly”. This SoftHeat only needs to be on low (3 or 4) to keep me plenty toasty, and that’s saying a lot. I am perpetually cold.

The size is plenty generous, unlike some electric blankets that barely seem to make it over the edges of the bed. I never feel like I’m tugging at it to cover me up to my neck. It’s lightweight, but yet warmer than a lot of other blankets even when turned off. Amazing.

I didn’t give it five stars because of the cord. I’ve had other dual-control King blankets, and they all only had one plug total. This one has two plugs–one for each controller. I’ll spare you the logistics of the underneath of my bed vs. the electrical outlet, but let me say that because of the addl. plug, we actually had to move our massively heavy king bed over several inches in order to accommodate the extra plug. The bed rested in its previous spot for over ten years, so now the divots where it used to rest are apparent. Not earth-shaking, but annoying that this wasn’t designed to end up with only one plug into the wall. Oh well.

Happy with it overall. Soft, warm–great!

I have never been one to promote anything, yet here I am promoting this blanket. I was excited to receive it and when I opened the package, I couldn’t believe it – where are the wires?! I was amazed, but then I wondered – can it really heat up?

So many people complain about other blankets not getting hot enough. They often complain that we now have “warming blankets”, not meant to “heat” the bed, but just to take the chill off. Well, I can tell you this much – you get into bed and the first 10 seconds you think, “Is this on?” Then, in 15 seconds, you say “hmm, I’m getting warm.” Shortly thereafter you say, “A little toasty – and only on 6!”

Finally, the last comment is, “Ok, turning it down now.” I am impressed and I am not an easy person to impress. Frankly, if it only lasts one or two seasons, it will have paid for itself.

It is lightweight, super-soft, fluffy (not cheap and thin like others), very warm, near wireless, and best of all, I don’t have to pile on additional blankets during the night. Oh, and another thing…

I have seen some reviewers complain about the two plug-ins for a king (which I have). NOT a big deal. No idea what the fuss is about. I ran the wires underneath the mattress and plugged in on either side of the bed. Worked out great (if you don’t have enough outlets, get a 3-way adapter – it’s $3! – or an extension cord).

I don’t think you can go wrong with this blanket.

I purchased this wonderful warming blanket a month ago. I use it every night. Heats evenly. Extremely soft. It is true. You cannot feel any wires, turns off in 10 hours if you go to sleep and forget to turn it off. One problem, I do not want to get out of bed. Feels like the most expensive blanket on the market, but keeps you so very warm.

I have purchased many warming blankets in the past and ended up discarding them after one month or one season of use. Definitely worth the money. You will not be sorry.

If you are tired of getting into a cold bed or have a blanket that just does not feel soft and luxurious and first and foremost does not heat evenly, then what are you waiting for?

Having owned this blanket for approximately 2 months I can say that it is by far the best warming blanket I have owned. The absence of the bulky, lumpy wires is wonderful.

The blanket itself is very warm and I have not been able to get past the low setting because of the efficiency of heating. For me anything above the low setting makes me sweat. My wife, who with past electric blankets would crank it up to the highest setting has not needed to go above the “4” setting on this blanket.

Without a doubt, this is an excellent choice and well worth the money!
